A Dream Realized

For years, we dreamed of creating a café and social house—a warm, inviting space where community, creativity, and great food come together. When we moved to Annapolis, we were inspired by the art cafés we loved in Austin, Texas—places where families, including ours with small children, could feel welcome and explore art-related activities. Unfortunately, despite our efforts to launch in 2024, our café dreams are on hold. After a year of navigating complex regulations, a challenging commercial real estate market, and other obstacles in Anne Arundel County, we realized we needed to adapt our vision. In the meantime, Annapolis Social House and Art Center is excited to offer a unique space for community connection and creative expression. While the café component of our dream waits for the right time and place, we’re proud to open our doors as a hub for the arts—providing opportunities to create, connect, and inspire.

    • Adult & Child Paired Classes: Enjoy quality time together with our Adult & Child Paired Classes, where pairs can learn in their own spaces at the same time.
    • Empowering Life Skills: Self-defense classes, Gardening 101: Living off nature, Clothes-making series: Learn to sew and design, Natural Remidies, Furniture-making workshops are just a few examples.
    • Spiritual and Personal Exploration: Tarot card reading workshops, Understanding witchcraft and astrology, and Horoscope training

  • Our non-profit section is dedicated to fostering community connection and well-being through art-based initiatives and support groups. We strive to combat social isolation and loneliness among diverse populations, including the elderly and parents of young children, by providing opportunities for creative expression, social interaction, and mental health support.
